Military helmets from Hard Head Veterans are a valuable investment in your safety. Why? There are some areas of your life where it’s okay to sacrifice quality to get a better price. Your protective gear isn’t one of them.

At Hard Head Veterans, we use our years of tactical experience in the military, law enforcement, and private security sector to create products that are safe, effective, and quality assured, all without blowing your budget. While comfort and style are certainly key factors that we consider, safety is always first. Our products undergo rigorous testing to ensure that they do exactly what they’re supposed to do – and more.

Each item in our selection of tactical gear serves a unique purpose. Read on to learn more about each of our products and why our gear is better than what you’ll find from our competitors.

HHV ATE Ballistic Helmet. The ATE Ballistic Helmet is a combat helmet designed to go above and beyond for whoever is wearing it. We consider it an ideal helmet for military members, police officers, and private security contractors thanks to its lightweight design (it weighs less than 3 pounds) and superior ballistic performance. The ATE boasts blunt impact performance that exceeds the current ACH requirements.

This army helmet is called an either above the ear or high cut design which gives a fit that works best for you, and it comes with a variety of unique features that make it an excellent choice for anyone looking for modern and effective protective gear. These include a DuPont Kevlar shell, standard WARCOM 3-hole shroud, injection molded side rails that allow for the mounting of most helmet-borne accessories from a wide range of third-party manufacturers, an Ezy-Don Dial Liner System, NVG bungees, and re-positionable Slow Rebound Memory Foam padding that can be used as is or replaced with your preferred padding system.

In addition to its functional design pieces, the ATE Helmet also comes with four accessories: 2 Picatinny adapters, 1 single clamp flashlight holder, and 1 Surefire X300 adapter.

The ATE is our most popular military helmet and is continually praised by our customers for its comfortable fit and superior offer of protection.

HHV BTE (MICH/ECH) Ballistic Helmet. The MICH Helmet is a great alternative for as much protection as possible without all the extras. Coming in at a weight slightly above the ATE Helmet (between 2.8 pounds and 3.3 pounds, depending on the size), the MICH Helmet is designed with the same commitment to safety, comfort, and usability you would expect from us. Design factors include a DuPont Kevlar shell, two-way adjustable rear support and adjustable chin strap, a below the ear design for increased head coverage, and re-positionable Slow Rebound Memory Foam padding. Similar to the ATE, the MICH Helmet offers blunt impact performance that exceeds current ACH requirements.

HHV ATE Ballistic Helmet Covers. Safety is always first, of course, but you want a helmet that looks great too, and that’s where our ATE ballistic helmet covers come in. The covers are available in a wide variety of colors, and each is lightweight, easy to apply and remove, allows for easy camouflage, and helps protect the finish on the helmet while acting as a barrier for ballistic fibers. The covers are specially designed to allow for easy mounting of field accessories, with pile tape sections on the back, top, and sides of the cover for attaching IFF markers, battery packs, strobes, and other additional tools.

HHV Comfort Plus Ballistic Helmet Pads. Years of combat experience have taught us the importance of comfort when it comes to an armor helmet. Poorly designed or cushioned combat helmet pads can easily result in discomfort, including fatigue and hot spots, which is why we went ahead and developed our own based off our knowledge of all the other pad options out there.

Our ballistic helmet pads are made with both comfort and protection in mind. Each pad utilizes a 2 layer system – one layer for added blunt and impact resistance, and a second layer made of proprietary memory foam for maximum comfort during the entire duration of wear. Pads are then covered in moisture wicking fabric to avoid chafing and hot spots. You won’t know just how comfortable helmet pads can be until you try these.

HHV Protective Helmet Bag. Top gear deserves a top storage solution. Our helmet bags help protect your ATE or MICH helmet when you’re not wearing it, so that when you do need it, it’s still in top shape. Bags are made from durable 1000D Cordura and come with a padded interior as well as built-in organization and storage for your helmet components and accessories. Additional features include the ability to carry it via your shoulder, handle, along with MOLLE webbing, easy accommodation for helmets across a range of sizes, netted side storage for items you need quick access to, interior and exterior compartments, and Velcro panels for patches. The bag is designed to fit high, mid, and low cut ballistic helmets, flight helmets, and most other safety helmets.

The Hard Head Veterans Difference

Not all protective gear is created equal. Our products are tested right here in the United States at certified NIJ labs and undergo rigorous testing to ensure that we are both meeting and exceeding stated standards for combat protection. Materials for our ballistic helmets are sourced from a small network of trusted manufacturers in Asia, Europe, and the States, and are brought together in the U.S. for assembling, testing, and certification. Our helmet shells are made from American materials and produced overseas.

So what makes our gear different from the competition? In addition to our staunch adherence to safety and quality guidelines, we offer superior protection without exorbitant prices. Our tactical protection gear is half the price of what our competitors are asking for, and come with the high quality, commitment to testing, and great reviews that you would expect from any piece of safety equipment that you buy.

Most importantly, Hard Head Veterans is run by real veterans of the United States’ most recent conflicts. Our team members continue to serve our country today through reserve or contracting roles, and every single member of our team is connected to the military or law enforcement, making us uniquely qualified to better understand and serve the needs of our customers.
