Watch Video: How to Measure Your Head

Start by wrapping a measuring tape around the circumference of your head, just above your ears and eyebrows. Where the tape overlaps is your measurement.
No measuring tape? No problem! Use a piece of string to mark the overlap, then measure the string.
Use the size chart to find where your optimal tactical helmet size should be.
Also, don't worry if you choose the wrong size. We offer an easy exchange policy!

A hard hat that doesn’t eat paste

So I was pretty excited to finally find a chin strap hardhat that wasn’t in the “1970s hockey helmet” style.

I really like the look of it, however the plastic ratchet system really should be more beefy for the price. I’ve worn other brands, and felt that they were superior in the ratchet/plastic department.

Wearing a hard hat like this in cold weather is almost impossible with the foam Velcro pads on the inside.

Granted no fatigue from wearing it whatsoever. A welding cap helps keep the ears and head warm but still should have enough room for a skull cap beanie.

Would definitely buy again, I hope to see improvements with the ratcheting system. Especially if different styles are interchangeable.

Velcro patches are starting to slowly peel off, bit of a bummer since I’m sure adding any type of adhesive voids any/all warranties.

Derek thank you for the feedback. Right now the ratchet system is the same that we use in our ballistic helmets! If you end up having any issues with please let us know. Same with the velcro, if you need more, just let us know.

Outstanding product

The HHV safety helmet is without a doubt the best helmet I’ve ever owned. I bought it and took it with me to Spain, and my colleagues are absolutely thrilled with this product.

Hard hat is very light. Its fits lower on your head for a better more comfortable feel. Definitely recommend it.

Already saved my hide!!!

Where do I begin, I’m a iron worker so I’m constantly around heavy steel and equipment. On a few occasions I’ve banged my head, just to come out unscathed. The head band Velcro is rough on the forehead but I wear a head band most the time so it’s not a big deal but would love to see what’s to come from newer models. I use both head lamp and side mounted for when I’m doing foundation. Needless to say having the ability to attach different tool for different task makes work easier. Im grateful to HHV for having such a quality product for blue collars. Thank you.
