This helmet counterweight pouch is ideal for those trying to offset the extra weight typically associated with night vision devises on tactical helmets. Our counterweight pouch is designed to secure firmly to tactical helmets that utilize ;a through bolt retention system in the back of the ballistic helmet. It also features velcro to help secure it firmly in place in addition to being bolted down.

Does What It Says

Installation was easy enough, a bit of velcro covered the hardware on the helmet that needs to be removed for this to fit, i used some scissors and cut away a small bit. The hardware screws down nice and easy, the pouch itself is very planted and doesnt shift. I run the pouch empty until i don nods, but sometimes ill keep a spare battery or 2 in the pouch. Helmets are heavy and you shouldnt run weight on your helmet if you dont have to. Pouch itself is very lightweight, feels like the same weight of a PVC morale patch, maybe lighter. stitching and seems are all good and effective. Good product. Also quick shipping, like very fast.

Helmet is of good quality, rail system absolutely sucks. You have to search the web for adapters to fit almost everything you’d like to run.

Decent

Seems decent, mounting screws in helmet where this attaches are buried under the Velcro. Carefully cut out the Velcro and had to go to the hardware store and get longer screws that fit. Balances out my single PVS-14 well.
