The HHV ATE® Rifle, proudly made in Sweetwater, Texas, is the only rifle rated helmet that not only stops rifle threats (including 5.56 M855 Green Tip), but keeps backface deformation to an acceptable level. Combat and police casualty data show that prioritizing frontal skull protection in helmets can dramatically reduce fatalities by up to 50%. The helmet shell (1.6lbs) is made up of UHMWPE and aramid fibers, while the up-armor is made of Silicon Carbide. The helmet utilizes our Micro Lattice Pads to maximize comfort and further decrease backface deformation.

Start by wrapping a measuring tape around the circumference of your head, just above your ears and eyebrows. Where the tape overlaps is your measurement.
No measuring tape? No problem! Use a piece of string to mark the overlap, then measure the string.
Use the size chart to find where your optimal tactical helmet size should be.

Very pleased.

Better than expected

Honor & Commitment, ordered on Jun 2nd...

Hard Headed Veterans had an issue with the Rifle Plate Up-Armor, through the long wait... once everything was fixed, my 2 Helmets got next-day shipping with an earlier/mid-August arrival; I got 2 skull caps, 2 snapback gray HHV hats, 2 HHV patches & 2 Woodpecker Patches. Would have been killer if I got counterweights for the trouble the Plate most definitely pulls your head/face to the ground; it has some weight to it, but the Micro Pads are chef's kiss & it absolutely is one of the most comfortable I have worn. Certainly wish I had this in Afghanistan; it could have helped with the scolding heat!

Surprisingly bad

I paid extra for express shipping to get it by the 9th according the the website and it didn't arrive until the 22nd.
I was excited to get the helmet and wore it for about an hour before the hotspots were getting unbearable. I checked the harness and it was twisted during assembly. The harness is also attached at different places on the helmet so it can't be fixed without removing the rails to access the hardware and reassembling the entire helmet. I sent an email on the 22nd asking for assistance with steps to fix the helmet and no reply as of today. The plate on the front is also twisted to one side and the holes were drilled well off-center so it can't be centered, no way to evenly distribute the weight and it is noticeable.
Assembly of the helmet failed, shipping failed, customer service failed. For what they're asking, it's unacceptable. Save the headache and go with any other brand.
