Ballistic helmets and all there is to know about them! While you’ll see a lot of great information about ballistic protection gear just by browsing through our website, the blog is our go-to place for sharing what we’ve learned over our years of real-world tactical experience.

Hard Head Veterans is a veteran owned and operated small business, and our team members have served in the nation’s most current conflicts. Many of us continue to serve the country through reserve and contracting roles, and all of us boast a continued connection to the military or law enforcement.

These experiences are the drivers behind our products, but we also hope to use them to better inform our customers on best practices for using tactical protection gear, the basics of performance testing, recommendations for choosing the top accessories from other trusted manufacturers, and much more. Our blog is the place where we share all of that vital information, and where we hope that you’ll spend some time getting to know us better.

Whether you’re just visiting the site to learn more about which particular ballistic helmet would be the best fit for you and your situation, or you’re an experienced public service officer looking for additional information, we’re confident that you’ll find the answers you’re looking for – and more – in our blog.

Safety First: Make The Investment in a Good Tactical Helmet

You never want to cut any corners when it comes to tactical protection gear. While all of us want a bulletproof helmet that looks cool, safety, quality, and effectiveness are always going to be the most important factors to keep in mind when selecting the products that will stand between you and various threats.

So what makes an ACH helmet or any other helmet worthy of your investment? Any army helmet you are interested in purchasing should have first gone through rigorous testing, evaluation, and quality control. When choosing a company to acquire your military helmet from, always make sure that these three critical steps are considered to be the most important.

At Hard Head Veterans, we believe that it is absolutely possible to create a ballistic helmet that checks off all those essential boxes – and then some. All of our protective gear must pass our high standards of safety, quality, and effectiveness before we ever consider sending it out to one of our customers. Due to our experiences in the military and law enforcement, we have learned a thing or two about what makes an ideal ACH helmet or other. We pride ourselves on creating gear that goes even further, and our helmets aren’t just proven safe, they’re also lightweight, comfortable, and sleek.

Any company that honors a commitment to quality knows that access to the safest protective gear shouldn’t be limited by a particular state, federal, or personal budget. Money is tight on all levels, but the need for adequate safety gear never goes away. We’ve worked hard to make sure that our products are safe and affordable. While the right Kevlar helmet should be an investment you’re willing to make, it shouldn’t be an investment that breaks the bank.

On our blog, we go further in depth about what constitutes an adequate ballistic helmet, and how you can know that the piece of gear you’re considering to purchase is worth your money. While we don’t use the blog to expressly push our own products, we think you’ll figure out pretty quickly that when it comes to that fine balance between gear that’s safe, effective, comfortable, and affordable, you’re going to be hard-pressed to find better gear than what we’ve got at Hard Head Veterans.

Protecting Your Head From Mother Nature

Ever feel like the world is out to get you? You’re not alone. The most popular post on our blog is a piece on protective gear for non-combat situations – notably, those dangerous conditions caused by mother nature or instances of spontaneous civil unrest. When and how disaster hits aren’t important. What’s important is that you’re ready and that you’re protected.

Our “Protecting Your Head in A Fight…Against Mother Nature” blog post was inspired by the natural disasters that hit our country in the late summer and fall of 2017. When it comes to the unpredictable havoc wreaked by events like Hurricane Harvey and the wildfires in Northern California, the question on many peoples’ minds are always going to be “How do I make sure that I can protect my loved ones?” And the answer is that you can only protect your family insofar as you can keep yourself safe.

While most citizens who aren’t in the military, police force, or private security services hopefully won’t ever have a pressing need for the kind of ballistic safety equipment that veterans are so familiar with, the truth is that we can very rarely predict what sort of natural disasters mother nature will throw at us. The goal is to be ready. Our affordable gear helps you do just that.

By keeping prices low, we make it easy to purchase the protective gear that you might need just in case. Read the blog post to learn more about how important it is to gear up in advance of potential danger.
