My name is Joshua, and I am a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. I currently serve as the Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) for... I’m set to deploy this year so an average day for me has been living out here in the field aboard the sunny Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) in Twentynine Palms, CA. After a night of planning and fire watch, the Company will push out to prepare to execute our plan of attack. For me, this involves directing the action of combat aircraft operating in CAS (Close Air Support) and other offensive operations, calling in airstrikes and gun runs from fixed-wing and rotary-wing platforms.

The thing that pushes me to do this job day in and day out would have to be my family. Having a Spouse that is a Sergeant in the Marine Corps drives me to push my self to the limits. The Competitive atmosphere we grow up In as Marines has fostered a fun Competitive household. What prompted me to join the military was the illustrious history my family has serving. Continuing that tradition had significant importance to me. The most challenging aspect of being in the Marine Corps, is having to be ready to go down range at a moment’s notice. Having to drop everything and leave your loved ones behind. This is a heart wrenching experience. Being a JTAC requires lots of training, so if you are not deployed, you are In the field perfecting your skills. It’s difficult for a lot of people, but I have it a little easier having a wife that is a Marine who understands the requirements that the job requires.
Some things I like to do in my free time are exploring my surroundings. My wife and I come from the Midwest and didn’t get a lot of time to see places outside of where we grew up. We’ve made it a big part of our life to make sure the same doesn’t happen to our son, who is 7 months old. With such a demanding profession, it is crucial to have high-end gear that won't fail you when you need it most.
I am extremely impressed with the quality and attention to detail that has went into making the HHV's ATE helmet. From the comfort to the adaptability, This product has made my job a whole lot easier and gives me piece of mind knowing that my head will be protected when I am put in harm’s way. Thank you HHV for holding up your end of the bargain with such an amazing product.
