Customer In The Spotlight | November | Hard Head Veterans

What's your name and job?

Michael A.

CRT-Sharpshooter/Observer Training Section

Joint Afghan Training Center (JATC)

DOS/RSO/Antiterrorism Assistance

<>Kabul Afghanistan

What does a day in your life look like?

Primary Sharpshooter/Observer Instructor, responsible for the training and ongoing sustainment of GCPSU Police Snipers, and a four man local sniper instructor staff.

What makes you get up in the morning?

I am a retired 30 year veteran FBI Agent, who worked Violent Gangs and SWAT, and before that a Marine Infantry Officer.    Retirement sucks, and I just wanted to continue to serve, and give back some of the knowledge I learned in my career to these guys fighting the war on terror.

What do you love about your profession?

A sense of duty, and to be a part of something that is bigger then yourself.

What do you love to do in your free time?

I like to swing a hammer, so I love to start and hopefully finish home improvement projects.  I also work with a cop buddy of mine who does contractor home improvement jobs on the side.

What are your thoughts on the HHV ATE Helmet?

Excellent piece of gear, which is now part of my kit over here.  We usually don't wear our helmets everyday, but we have them with us if and when the situation dictates that we need to harden up.  The helmet is very comfortable, and if an when I have to wear it, it is good to know I have an exceptional one to protect my dome.
